Fr. Stephen Book Talk
On June 10 at 2:30 pm Fr. Stephen will give a talk on the place of shame in the spiritual life. His recent book, Face to Face: Knowing God Beyond Our Shame, has quickly become a best-seller in Orthodox publications. It is the product of about 10 year’s work and reflection. This presentation for St. Anne will look at some key concepts in that work. It should last about an hour and be followed with a session for questions and answers.
Copies of Face to Face will be on sale at the parish for the next few Sundays. It is also available in e-book and audiobook format.

Women’s Book Group
For the month of June, we are encouraging you to read Father Stephen's new book, Face to Face, and to attend the discussion of his book at St Anne on Saturday, June 10th, before vespers. There will not be a separate meeting of just the women in June.
The Ascetic of Love by Mother Gavrilia will be our July and August book. We will discuss the first half (her biography) on July 16th and then the rest of the book which includes her sayings and letters on August 20th. Talk to Mother Beth or Father Daniel to borrow one of Mother Beth's copies or the church library copy. Sea Salt Books (seasaltbooks.orders@gmail.com) has republished this book. Individual copies are $26 + shipping. We purchased 6 copies for this group and they are spoken for.
We meet from 4-4:30 to socialize and from 4:30 - 6:00 pm, we discuss our book. If coming in person, feel free (or not) to bring something to eat to share. It is not a meal, just "fellowship" food.
Volunteer Ministries Collection
We are continuing to collect items for people with home instability. At this time we are collecting toothpaste and toothbrushes for donation to Volunteer Ministries. There is a collection bin near the water fountains.
St. Vladimir’s Online School of Theology
Like Masterclass—but Orthodox.
If you are hungry to dive deeper with vetted theologians, here’s your chance.
St Vladimir’s Online School of Theology is an accessible extension of St Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary. Today, we are offering non-degree courses with two of our faculty.
As St Vladimir’s Online School of Theology grows, we plan to expand our course offerings to include certifications and even our M.A. program.
The first course is open for registration now. See more here.
Continuing Fundraising for our Building
This year we have set a goal of $120,000 for fundraising for the building fund. This fundraising is essential in order to secure a mortgage for a future building. So far this year we have added $20,000. If you would like to donate towards the building fund - please highlight this in your gift, i.e. make a note on your check, memo line in Paypal, etc.
