St. Anne’s Evening of ‘Kids and Carols’
All are invited to join in an evening of musical performances and Christmas caroling this Friday, December 22nd, at 6:00pm. We will share a potluck meal after the caroling. Please bring a fasting dish to contribute if you are able.
Theophany Liturgy and Blessing of the Waters
Saturday, January 6th, St. George Orthodox Church, 9am
This year St. Anne’s and St. George’s will celebrate Theopany Liturgy together at St. George Orthodox Church on Saturday, January 6th at 9am, followed by the Blessing of the Waters at the Tennessee River. St. Anne’s choir will be leading the singing for the services.
We will also bless the waters at the Clinch River as per our usual custom on Sunday, Jan 7, following Divine Liturgy at St. Anne’s.
January Women's Book Discussion
The next women's book discussion will be on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at The Mattingly's home. We will not be meeting in December as previously planned. St. Dimitrios Brotherhood Gathering
All men (ages 16 and above) from St. Anne are invited and encouraged to attend the inaugural gathering of the St. Dimitrios Brotherhood on Friday, January 12th at 6:30 PM at Josh McMahon's home (1915 Dark Sky Ln, Knoxville). At this first meeting, time will be dedicated to explaining the brotherhood and casting a vision for future gatherings in 2024. In addition, Fr. Daniel will lead the men in prayer and a discussion about forming a personal prayer rule. BYO food and drink.
St. Photini Sisterhood Potluck Brunch
All women of St. Anne’s are invited to join together for a festive Potluck Brunch on Saturday, January 20th at 10 AM at Katie Prothro’s home (2621 Reagan Rd. Knoxville TN, 37931). We will have a time of prayer, and fellowship, and Mother Beth will share with us on the topic of prayer! Please bring a potluck dish to share.
